Helpful Information

WHEN CAN PUPPIES GO TO THEIR FOREVER HOMES?

We allow puppies to go home after 8 weeks of age.  We will have the pups checked by a vet, given age-appropriate vaccines, and dewormed. We will never let a puppy go home before 8 weeks.

HOW MUCH DOES A PUPPY COST?

Our puppies range from $1,500 to $2,500.  It depends on who are the parents, if the litter is registered, and the sex of the puppy.

What is included with your puppy:

  • Sample bag of current food

  • Blanket with mother's and litter's scent

  • Toys & goodies

  • Age-appropriate vaccines

  • Deworming

  • Tails docked

  • Dew claws removed

  • Vet Records

  • AKC paperwork (if AKC litter)

  • Tips and information sheet

  • Free 30 Days of pet insurance with Trupanion

  • Mom's and & Dad's health records

  • Lifetime support from us!

WHY ARE YOUR PUPPIES SO EXPENSIVE?

To maintain high quality litters, we have to take amazing care of our poodles.

For each of our dogs we spend about:

  • $3,000+ for a quality poodle to add to our program.

  • $1,500+ a year on vet visits

  • $600+ on health testing

  • $100 a month on food (closer to $250 when we have a pregnant mama and/or a litter of puppies)

  • $100 a year on grooming supplies (plus our time to groom)

  • $500+ on whelping supplies

  • $500+ on litter's vet visits

  • $300+ on puppy go home bags

Also, please remember that when we have a litter of puppies, we are caring for them 24 hours a day until they go to their new homes.  Our time with the puppies may be short, but it is 24/7 until they leave us.

DO YOU START TRAINING PUPPIES BEFORE THEY GO HOME?

Yes! But please remember we are just starting a foundation with them.  It is important for you to continue training and teaching them manners and boundaries.

We start potty training, basic commands (come, sit, off), socialization to kids, strangers, and new environments, introduction/desensitize to bathing/grooming, loud noises and usual home sounds, and start crate training.  We do Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) to help build puppies' stress response.  We also do Early Sent Introduction (ESI) to help strengthen puppies sense of smell.

DO YOU DO HEALTH TESTING?

YES! All of our breeding pups have been cleared through Embark to ensure they do not carry any hereditary diseases. They also evaluated for healthy joints, hearts, and eyes!

HOW MANY LITTERS DO YOU HAVE A YEAR?

We have 1-2 and possibly a third litter a year.  Please check our Litters page for planned breedings!

DO YOU EVER REHOME ADULT DOGS?

As of right now we do not plan on rehoming any of our breeding dogs.  They are part of our family!  As our program gets bigger, we will consider placing breeding dogs in guardian homes. This is so they are loved and stay with the same family even after they are retired. Please get in touch if you are interested in becoming a guardian home!
